Unveiling of the new garden. Good Morning Bloggers. On Monday the 4th of November we had an opening for a special garden and people from different culture. So let's get right in to it, so on Monday afternoon we normally have singing assembly but this time we had a singing assembly but we had a short one. We normally have a couple songs that we need to work on but we only had one song and it was called Waikowhai's school song ( made by one of the student's Mum), well we didn't really need to work on it but we had to practice it before we opened the new garden. Then we came outside and sat down like we sat down in the hall for singing then as we sang the song, the student's mum that made the song was there to see how we had improved. We surprised her with a small gift of flowers then the oldest and youngest students of the school, came up and cut the ribbon for the garden. Then lastly  we revealed the people of different cultures. Bye Bloggers - blog ya later. Here...

Cross Country

Cross Country  Hi bloggers, last week on the 11th of September we had Cross Country for the whole school. When we were there we had six stations and they were called: obstacle course, run, warming up and down, skipping, kicking soccer balls in to the goal and resting. Out of all the stations I think the one I liked the most was kicking into the goal and the long run, the reason why I liked the run because it makes you fit and it's just fun and the reason why I liked kicking into the goals because I got to be goalie and everyone was having so much fun. Before we started we were working in the morning on our blogs and then when morning tea was finished. That was when we started the Cross Country. The thing that I didn't like was when it was lunch time I had no more food left but luckily I still had money so I bought some food from the cake stall. Bye bloggers thanks for checking out my blog. Here are some photos.

So the boys  team and girls team had seven games. The boys teams came first in the pool and then the girls almost won but the team they vs got no goals and the girls team got no goals to, so it was a draw. But we still got into the stadium and took a photo, our first game we won five zero. We got to see the Women's World Cup. Here are some photos.

We always go down on Tuesdays, Thursdays and we have lunchtime swimming on Wednesday and Friday. When we go down to the Cameron Pools there are different pools, there's one for little kids and the ones for the bigger kids and adults. When we went got down there we learned how to get in the pool and how to get out of the pool without using the ladder. We also learnt how to float and we learned how to freestyle. Last year the teachers had a race for the house groups. The house groups are Kea, Tui, Pukeko and Ruru. The teachers won last year, they were super quick. I wonder who will win this year? W e learned that when you are at the beach and you're in the middle of nowhere, you keep swimming and if you get tired you can float on your front and back.
